How to connect a Samsung DVD Home Theatre to my sharp tv for surround sound?
Since March, I've been trying to connect my Sharp 13 inch LC 19SB14U tv to my Samsung DVD Home Theatre HT-X40 for surround sound. I can easily connect it for dvd and get awesome surround sound, but no dice when I try to connect it for tv. I'm not so much interested in the surround sound for tv as I know most shows are not in surround sound. But it would be nice to just get tv audio to go thru the Samsung speakers (since my Sharp audio isn't so “sharp” anymore).
Here are the cables I have:
Dynex HD Component Cable
Digital Audio Cable (thought this would do the trick)
Composite cable which came with the TV (which I current;y dont use)
I have a very tech savvy boyfriend who is at a loss as well. Any help would be appreciated.
