Recently received a home theater system, can't figure out how to connect to my TV
I recently was given a home theater system by a friend who upgraded. However, it seems to be a knock off brand and I have no idea how to connect it to my tv. Right now my HDTV has a 3.5mm headphone audio out, digital audio out, and RCA (left/right) audio out. This system has RCA left+right audio out, but if I do that it is labeled as only 2.1 surround sound. If I switch it to 5.1 surround sound I need more cables apparently, and I'm pretty confident my TV does not accept 6 RCA audio out wires. Anywho, I suppose I would be needing to find a converter or something along the lines of that? I've skimmed through radioshack and found nothing. Something tells me I won't feel much of a difference through 2.1 sound on this system, though. All speakers would be getting used, anyway, I think.
