i have lost my owners manual and i need to know how to reset my malata dav-3100 dvd home theater to factory spec when i put a dvd in to the system the tv screen roles and ive had this problem before there is a way to reset the system through the remote to factory specs any help with this would be great thanks to anyone who can help!!!

i have tried to contact future shop for support where i bought the system they said they dont deal with malata any more and they gave me the number to a company called nesa who did their repairs and tech support for malata they dont deal with malata stuff any more either tried calling the main office for malata in mississauga ontario the phone is out of service as well as their web site i finally got in touch with malata in the united states and they said it was a model only sold in canada and get in touch with where i bought the system in their e-mail to me that i should go to where i bought the system

all ive been doing is big circles HELP!!!!!

Any home theater person know about this? I am setting up a home theater system for the 1st time – I have a Denon 1908 receiver and 3-4 items to hook it up to: a PS3, DVD, DirecTV and a hard drive box. It has a HDMI in and HDMI out slot – Can I plug all the above items into the receiver and have the one HDMI cable going to the TV or do I need to also connect each item to the TV slots( ie into the back of the TV). Ill probably have the PS3 HDMI going to the in slot. Hope my questions makes sense.

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-52D64U HDTV that I currently have outputing audio via standard red/white audio into a RCA RT2280 home theater receiver. Basic stereo sound works fine. Today I bought an optical digital audio cable and have connected it from the tv's digital audio ouput jack to the RCA's digital input jack. However I can not get any sound out of the optical mode. I wanted to set this up to get Dolby 5.1 out of my HD channels. My cable runs to a Motorola DVR from Comcast and then to the TV using component cables (red,blue,green,red, white). Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have an old 2.1 stereo system hooked up to my tv. I am creating a home theater with a projection screen and all.

I want to upgrade to a 5.1 system. I see alot of theater in a box solutions but they don't seem to offer the versatility of a dedicated receiver. I like the idea of an all in one system with an integrated dvd, but they don't seem to have that many inputs for other devices.

I also worry about if the DVD drive wears out, I will have to replace the whole unit or go out and add another box. Plus what if I decide to upgrade to hd dvds down the road. I also have a htpc and a Wii.

So, is a dedicated receiver is the better choice in the long run. It seems that I would want to ensure that it has hdmi as this seems to be where everything is going within the next 4 years.

(I have a nice progressive scan dvd player that I am happy with now that also plays Divx which I have many of.)
